TGM's Classified Ad Service is a shopping service that brings buyers and sellers together. Information about a particular item is supplied by the seller, not by TGM. The price and other terms of any sale remain subject to direct negotiation between the buyer and the seller. Though we hope that all who come to TourGreatMiami.com will act honorably and treat each other fairly, we can't verify the information they supply or guarantee the items they offer.
When using this Classified Ad Service to find a buyer for your item or an item you can buy, we urge you to use the same common sense and good judgment you would in selling an item through, or responding to, a classified ad in the newspaper. The material that appears on the TGM Classified Ad Service is for informational purposes only. Despite our efforts to provide useful and accurate information, errors may appear from time to time. Before purchasing goods or services you've read about on the TGM Classified Ad Service, you should confirm with the seller any information (including the price) that is important to your purchasing decision. TGM is not responsible for, and does not guarantee the performance of, any such goods or services.
TGM's Classified Ad Service acts as a venue for individual sellers to list items (or, as appropriate, solicit offers to buy) and buyers to purchase certain items or services. We are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and sellers. As a result, we have no control over the quality, safety, or legality of the items advertised, the truth or accuracy of the listings, the ability of sellers to sell items, or the ability of buyers to buy items. We cannot ensure that a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction. Those who offer goods or services for sale over tourgreatmiami.com should be prepared to sell the items they advertise at the prices at which, and the terms on which, they advertise them.
TGM reserves the right to deny use of this Classified Ad Service in a manner we consider inappropriate. You agree to indemnify and hold TGM and our officers, directors, agents, and general membership harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of this Classified Ad User Agreement or the documents it incorporates by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party. |
Some things that potentially fraudulent buyers do (Yes, even local buyers):
- A buyer asks you to wire money into their account.
- A buyer offers high-value (but fake) cashier's check in exchange for your for sale item. The value of cashier's check often far exceeds your item and the buyer asks you to wire the balance via money transfer service. Banks will often cash these fake checks and then hold you responsible when the check fails to clear. These scams often involves a 3rd party (shipping agent, business associate owing buyer money). We would strongly discourage you from wiring money.
- The buyer will not provide you a verifiable US telephone number.
- Buyer places a large order to be sent to a foreign location.
- Buyer says they will pay you half of what's due before they receive the item, and half payment afterwards.
- Pays with an international credit card or cashier's check.
- Recommend an unfamiliar escrow or payment service.
